Brian Davidson began his accounting career in Syracuse, New York in 1988. He joined Wells, Houser & Schatzel in January, 2017.  His experience includes tax and auditing, trusts and estates, controllerships and owning a CPA firm; with an emphasis on real estate and small business start ups, and consulting and tax planning.

James T. McDonough, CPA

Jim McDonough has extensive public and private accounting experience. He began his accounting career in Tampa as an assistant to the controller of a statewide radiology group. He then moved to public accounting with a local CPA firm as an intern, then staff accountant. After relocating to Pinellas County, he continued as a staff accountant with a local CPA firm in Seminole, eventually becoming manager of the firm’s IT services. During the dot-com boom, Jim transitioned back to the private sector with an international ERP and accounting software startup as an account manager and implementation specialist. He later worked as a consultant with a business and IT firm in Tampa before starting his own accounting and information systems consultancy in Saint Petersburg. In February, 2022 Jim returned to public accounting with Wells, Houser & Schatzel, P.A.

Ronnie Simpson began his accounting career in 2013 with a small firm on Long Island, New York focusing on small business and individual taxation. He moved to Florida a few years later with his wife, working at a local firm in Clearwater, Florida, and he joined Wells, Houser & Schatzel in March, 2024. He is currently pursuing his Enrolled Agent license. Ronnie has experience primarily in business and individual taxation, and accounting and computer services.

Lynne Weber began her accounting career in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1988. In November 2018, Lynne joined Wells, Houser & Schatzel, P.A. Her experience includes write-up, tax and consulting services, and previously owning a tax and accounting firm. Lynne is an IRS Enrolled Agent, and a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor – Online Advanced.
